After my freshman season (my first season of tackle ball at any level) I decided I wanted to play at the next level. During my freshman pre-season I was 4th string on the freshman B team. By the time the season started I was second string, and by the time the season ended I was starting.
I moved to the JV A team for my sophomore season. I began the season as the first back-up at all four positions on the d-line. I was starting DE by our third game. Around midseason teammates' injuries moved me to DT where I started for the remainder of the season while still playing DE as needed.
Over the last two seasons my on-field confidence has grown enormously. I'll be working hard this offseason to gain quickness, speed and technique ... in addition 30 lbs ... in order to be a varsity starter my junior season.
I will challenge myself to become a better player in order to play at the college level.
