Thayer Phillips '17 Recruiting Profile

Dedicated, motivated, versatile, multi sport athlete searching for the right college to continue my education and football career.  I feel with my size and ability I could take on many different positions at the college level and be a good fit.   I have played D. End, D. Tackle, OLB, everywhere on the offensive line including Tight End and even Center.  Defense is where I feel I can bring the most to any team.

I have had the honor to play on the Back-to-Back PA State Championship team during my Freshmen and Sophmore year.  During my Junior year we went undefeated during our regular season and reached a 44 game winning streak during our playoff run.  We unfortunately lost in our WPIAL Championship, but it was a great season and I am proud to have been a part of that team and that was the most exciting game I have ever played.

My senior year we moved up two classifications and we finished with an undefeated regular season but lost during the first round of our playoffs.  I couldn't be prouder of my brothers.  Unfortunately,  I suffered an injury during our second game of the season that required surgery.  With a lot of work I was able to return to the practice field our last week but was not able to play in the game.  During the 4 quarters I did play my senior year I recorded 11 tackles and a fumble return for a touchdown.  There is no words to explain the loss I felt and I am now looking forward to playing my best football for the next four years.
