With having three Head Coaches in my four years as a varsity player, I was able to effectively equip myself and adapt to different coaching styles and offensive strategies. This has enabled me to grow as a competitor, teammate, and leader. Fortunately, as a freshman I was part of a team that was a State Semifinalist. With that experience I learned the value of leading by example, having others feed off your own enthusiasm and attitude, as well how to communicate to get the most out of your teammates. I was named Team Captain as a junior and senior, a true testament to how hard I work and the respect my teammates had for me.
Both the athletic and academic persona of a college are very important to me. I want the opportunity to compete at a very high level as a student and athlete. As much as I strive to excel academically, I apply the same principles in my film study. This combined with my experience as a 4-year varsity player and 2-time Captain, gives me the confidence to know that I can succeed with the right program at the next level.
