My name is Raymon Potter. I'm a 6'1, 227 lb. Inside Linebacker from Jackson, Ohio. As a Sophomore, I started in 11 of our teams 12 games and help lead our team to an undefeated regular season and a chance at competing in the state playoffs. I concluded my Sophomore season with First Team All-Conference honors, First Team All-Region honors, and Honorable Mention All-Ohio honors. This was a very memorable season for me and my team and a tremendous learning experience moving forward. During this season I was blessed with the opportunity to compete at a very high level in the sport I love the most. This season allowed me to showcase my ability on the field, but also gave me the ability to learn and get better for the future. For those reasons, I am very thankful.
In my time as a football player, I have taken away quite a bit of knowledge from the game. I have learned that hard work on and off the field will truly take you to unimaginable heights. Each day, I continue to put in work to become a better athlete on the field. I believe that my motivation and work ethic are two essential qualities that set myself apart from other athletes. I am a very ambitious person who believes that anything which can be conceived in the mind can be achieved and I train with that mentality each and every day.
As a student-athlete, I take great pride in all academic and athletic activities which I participate in. I believe that a person is only as good as the opportunities which he or she takes advantage of. At this point in my high school career I have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.93/4.0. I fully intend on continuing to be a top-notch student and player at the university which I attend in my future. I believe I could be a great asset to any program because of my leadership, humility and respect for the people around me. I've been very fortunate to be blessed with great people in my life and I'm thankful for that. In the future, I will continue to surround myself with positive people and influences as I continue pursuing my dreams and goals.
Thank you.
