Hello my name is Jeremiah Tate. My sophomore year I was named JV defensive player of the year. Until my freshman year, I didn’t know what it was like to not play the whole game which was a big change for me. Playing offense and defense for 7 years while I was younger, taught me a lot. One main aspect that I learned was the respect and importance of the different positions. This helped me to read plays and be able to shoot the gaps better. Playing on offense also helped me with my defense discipline. My coaches have always looked to me with a sense of leadership, enthusiasm and dependability. I am trying to use the same discipline that is needed at practice and games for my studies. I know that my academics are more important that anything on the field. I don’t know what I want to go to school for, I just know that being successful in one will help me be successful in the other. Using hard work and determination will help me get to where I want to go.
