Personal Statement

I have always had a passion for sports.  However, after having had the experience of playing soccer, baseball, basketball, lacrosse, and football, I can honestly say that my greatest love is the game of football. At this point in my life I have limited myself to participating in organized football and lacrosse. In addition, I am receiving group instruction two days a week for conditioning and strength training with Donskov Strength and Conditioning, Inc. (http://www.donskovsc.com). I also am working with Mr. Lance Perry one day a week at D1 Sports Training for speed and agility (http://www.d1sportstraining.com). The reason I am discussing my past and current experience is because I am extremely dedicated and driven to fulfill my lifelong dream of playing Division I college football. I hope to realize my full athletic potential in the pursuit of this goal. In addition to the obvious athletic rewards associated with playing Division I football; more importantly, I want to use my athletic skills to obtain a college education as a scholarship athlete. Should my athletic ability afford me the privilege of playing football at the professional level, I would certainly welcome the opportunity. I hope to use football to ultimately become a successful oral surgeon, orthodontist, or financial advisor.

I realize that the game of football is a classroom for life's lessons. Keeping in mind that there is life after football, I have chosen to pursue the professions of dentistry or finance in order to support myself and my family should I marry. The importance of having a stable and steady income will be crucial to living a productive life, and allowing me to be able to follow the Woody Hayes motto of "paying forward", in other words, giving back to my community.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
