My love for football dates all the way back to 2003. I can still remember being 4 years old, playing Quarterback, Running Back, Wide Receiver, Tight End, Safety and Corner, and winning the Peewee Super Bowl Championship that year. I have not put the ball down since. I believe that my success as a football player is attributed to the fact that I have played for so long, held every position on both sides of the field, and been really good at doing so. There is really no play that I can’t read!!!
I’ve learned so much throughout my journey in life as a student athlete. I have learned how important it is to stay firm, even through the hard times. I have learned how important it is to remain focused and play each game as if it was the championship. I also know how valuable it is to lift my teammates as I climb, because we are only the strongest when we are all on the same page and reaching our fullest potential. All of these values were instilled in me, and consistently reinforced by my family. My father has been actively involved in my coaching and development since day one.
My ability to put my beliefs and values to test really stuck out at the start of my high school career. Up until this point, I was the star athlete on the team, and did not have to fight for my position. My high school team is full of talented young men, and I really had to put in the work to show that I deserved to be on the team, and that’s exactly what I did! I am not afraid of going the extra mile, and putting in the extra work for the team! Late nights and early mornings are the norm for me. Whether that’s putting in extra work to ensure that I am successful on the field, as well as successful in the classroom, I am committed to making it happen.
My family has always been very important to me. I know that I can count on each and every one of them to be there to support me in whatever I do. I have always been able to look out in the stands during games, band performances, and anything else that I am involved in, and see them there to root me on. That means a lot to me.
My goal is to attend a great college that will allow me to obtain a degree in Forensic Science and play football. I believe that I have what it takes to join a great team, and be a great part of the success of the team, on and off the field.
