I have been playing football since I was eight years old, but the true turning point in my career came during my sophomore year. Moving up to Varsity my sophomore year was a pivotal moment in my Football career because it showed me that hard work and heart outweighed my lack of size at the time. Going into my senior year as a Defensive End, despite size, I've learned to use my power and speed to my advantage. My versatility and my dedication to improvement has led me to many exciting opportunities on the field and has only increased my desire to continue playing after high school.
Taking college level classes such as Advanced Placement and Career & College Promise during my junior and senior years of high school taught me the importance of time management, as I often found myself balancing clubs, a part-time job, classes, and sports. Whether it was taking classes over the summer, or studying before a game, I have always challenged myself athletically and academically; as a result, I am looking for a college where I can continue this aggressive physical and educational drive. Academically, I plan to graduate high school with enough transferable college credits to step on as a sophomore or higher, in order to finish my degree sooner. As a three sport athlete and honors student, I believe I have the work ethic to be on your team!
