I started playing football when I was 9 years old and I was hooked from the first play. I started out on the line and played my way into a skill position and pride myself on being a team player.
I'm also very coachable, listening and learning in practice, but also can be a leader on the field. Constructive criticism is well received and helps me improve as an athlete. Preparation is also key, whether it be watching game film or putting a plan into action so that we can be successful on the field come game day. From the first kickoff I am focused and ready; my adrenaline is working overtime and its go time. One of my biggest strengths is knowing when a play breaks down, I anticipate and react based on my coaching and my experience. My coaches say I have "a nose for the ball.'
My relative size and speed add to my ability , and my mental make up has helped me on the field and off. I feel like it's my job to be there for my teammates on and off the field picking them up in the game and supporting them in practice. We win and we lose as a team- from the coaches to the bench players who make us better in practice, we work as one unit to achieve one goal. Be the best we can be, win or lose, its a team and a family, and I hope I can be part of that at the next level. That's my goal: to be the best teammate and player I can be.
Off the field I have to thank my family, who support my decisions and are with me every step of the way helping me to achieve my goals. At the end of the day, I have to put in the hard work on the field and off, by putting the work in to be a great athlete and scholar to obtain my ultimate goal. If I could play in the NFL, that's a dream, but if not, my focus is in law enforcement. Thus criminal justice will be my major most likely. The FBI only take the elite and that's what I strive for. Most of all, want to be an elite teammate and student; to achieve success on and off the field.
