Christian Carrick '17 Recruiting Profile

Looking through hundreds of high school athletes, trying to find that hidden superstar, is a demanding yet fulfilling process.  My argument in favor of being selected is simple: I have been groomed and equipped throughout my life to perform at the highest athletic level.

I am not just aiming for college, I am hoping to grow and develop throughout college and continue to play professionally. It is important to not just have a short term goal, but a long term goal as well. I don't want to aim to just reach my goals, I want to reach to exceed them.  I have been supported by both my parents, grandparents, and older brothers my entire life, and I have worked hard to take my given abilities and talents to the highest level possible.  Where I have seen weaknesses, I have striven to grow; and I have made efforts to excel above and beyond in my character on and off the field, both athletically and socially.

I have played soccer my entire life, but I have found being a football kicker to be one of the most rewarding activities I have been a part of.  I enjoy the community of my school's football program, as well as the college football community as a whole, and I really want to be able to make an impact on a collegiate football team by being the most consistent and accurate football kicker in the NCAA.  This past season I played a major role in helping the team by guaranteeing every single PAT and cutting the number of chances for the other team to score of the kickoff in half by kicking over 15 touchbacks. 

As a part of your colleges football program, I will do everything I can to be the best player I can be, and I can promise full dedication to doing whatever I need to in support of the team.  I will do the right thing on and off the field, and I will always work hard until your expectations of me are more than fulfilled.
