Joseph Peterson '17 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I could remember, football has been close to my heart.  The dreams of college football started young as my Dad would turn on college games.  I thought to myself, "Why can't I do that?  What makes them so special?"  People have always told me playing in college or even the NFL is like winning the lottery.  I disagree.  After an ACL and meniscus surgery followed by another meniscus surgery and being told I'll never amount to anything athletically, I have only improved.  My track times were better, and my football stats increased post surgery.  Winning the lottery is left up to chance, college football is up to me, and every person that has looked on in doubt has given me reason to work harder for what I love.  However, I want to catch more than just footballs.  I want to catch greatness in the classroom, in my community, and in my future career.  Through one setback to the next, I've become what I am today.  What I want to be in the future starts at the right college and on the right team.
