Jack Purcell '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jack Purcell. I'm a 6'5" 270 lb OL/DL in my junior year at St. Paul's School in Concord NH, one of the nation's top boarding schools. I scored in the 98th percentile on each of the SAT, PSAT and SSAT exams. After graduating from St. Paul's in 2016, I hope to anchor the line for a football team at an academically elite college.
My father was a linebacker at Dartmouth and my uncle was a safety at Bucknell, and I have always dreamed of following in their footsteps and playing football at an elite institution at the next level. I have started on the offensive and defensive lines at St. Paul's School since my sophomore year, and am comfortable playing between the tackles on either side of the ball. In addition to football, I have in the past played defenseman in both hockey and lacrosse. I am training hard this off season and plan to attend a number of football skills camps this coming summer.
In addition to athletics, I have a passion for music and am the lead percussionist in my school's orchestra, and also host a radio program at my school. I also have played acoustic/electric guitar for many years. I would like to continue to pursue my passion for music in college.
