Personal Statement

My collegiate goal is two-fold: (1) to graduate with honors, debt-free, from a 4-year university, prepared for a fulfilling career; and (2) to be a contributing part of a college football team, play on Saturdays, form life-long friendships, and become the best football player that I can be.

At 6'5 1/2" and 291 lbs., I believe that I have been blessed by God to contribute as a football player on the collegiate level. I have an excellent work ethic, integrity, and a positive attitude. Every day-at practice or during a game- I give 100% effort on every snap until the whistle blows. I set a high bar for success for myself, and I encourage others to follow. I lead my teammates and peers by example. I do not compromise my values. I am a follower of Christ, and I am ALL IN.

Character-I have been awarded the Ronald Reagan Student Leader Award, the highest underclassman award at my school. I have been elected by my peers as Student Body Secretary, Student Body Treasurer, and President of FCA. I mentor junior high students, have volunteered over 500 hours in my community, and am very active in my church.

Athletics-I have started on the offensive line since the first game of the 9th grade, and I currently start both ways and play every snap. I was named to the All-County and All-Region teams this year. My team was North State champions last year and district champions this year. I have played varsity basketball for 3 years, varsity track for 2 years, and placed fourth at state last year in powerlifting.

Academics-I am a member of National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta and have been named to the Principal's List (over a 3.75 GPA) every semester.
