Personal Statement

My name is Thomas Hennessy. I am determined to become the best person I can be and make a positive difference in the world. I aspire to use my athletic abilities and academic achievements to gain the highest-quality college education possible.  I plan to use football and academics to establish a solid foundation for my future.

My physical size, strength, stamina and speed make me a strong candidate for any team. Also, my ability to analyze, assess and make decisions on the field under pressure set me apart from other players as does my passion, drive and desire to lead.

I believe that we all have a special purpose in life and that we are equipped with the gifts and talents necessary to achieve that purpose. I recognize hard work, perseverance, discipline and faith as the traits that will help me discover and fully activate these gifts and talents. Doing so will give me the greatest chance of reaching my full potential. Athletics, competition, and challenges bring out the best in me and I embrace any opportunity that will make me better physically, mentally and spiritually.

I believe that all things are possible with the right attitude, a lot of discipline and a burning desire to be a champion. I have the desire to be a champion in everything I do, especially in athletics and academics. Unlike other athletes who get too focused on individual accomplishments, recognition and fame, I am committed to making any team or organization I am part of a champion. I strive everyday to be a leader by doing my best to “walk the talk” and leading by example. I believe that integrity is everything and excellence should always be sought.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
