My favorite quote is "Today I will do what you won't so tomorrow I can do what you can't". This is how I approach my life. I have been given athletic and intellectual gifts that I believe that it is my job to maximize them to the fullest. I refuse to be out worked or out hustled. I can proudly say that I have never been pulled out of a game of football or basketball because of fatigue. I pride myself on being in better shape than anyone on my team and on the opposing team.
It starts in the classroom for me as I want to work in the field of Veterinary Medicine. I realize the competitiveness of this field and I push myself to learn the foundational information that I will need to bring into my collegiate career. I volunteer at local animal shelters in order to obtain experience in my field and I have a Veterinarian Doctor who is my mentor in this area.
My dream to play college football goes back as long as I can remember. I grew up in a football house and couldn't wait to play flag football as a first grader. After the first practice, I knew that I could play with the best of the boys in our league and I wanted to put on some pads and play real football. I was able to play with the 5th and 6th graders when I was in 4th grade and loved being able to hit the older kids harder than they hit me.
This year, I attained my individual goal of putting on over 50 lbs. of muscle and becoming a starter for my Varsity team. We obtained my second goal of making it past the first round of the playoffs as we made it to the final 8 of the 6A teams in MN.
My next goal is to improve my body by working hard in the weight room, speed training and MMA training. I want to be the dominate Offensive Lineman in the state of MN in 2016.
I aspire to be the best student athlete, teammate and person that I can be.
