I started playing football in the 2nd grade. It has taught me many life lessons, such as teamwork, accountability, perseverence, determination, and how to lose. The losses are when I have learned the most. You have to be accountable as a player and as a team. Football is the ultimate team sport. 10 guys can do their job on any given play but if that one guy doesn't do his, the team can suffer. The best teammates will pick that guy up and move on. That's the mark of a great team.
As a player, I always give everything that I have on the field, and that holds true in the classroom as well. In school I do well because I always try my hardest. It doesn't always come easy so I put the extra time in when I need to. I'd like to maintain a high GPA in high school because it will open more doors for colleges.
I am very passionate about the sport of football but I also play baseball. Baseball is a very humbling sport because of the 1 on 1 matchups. It has helped teach me to let things go and move on.
Sports have taught me many great life lessons. I just love the atmosphere and camraderie that comes along with them. College sports have always been a dream of mine and I will do whatever it takes to make it happen.
