I have been blessed thus far to have been among family, coaches, teammates, and friends who all helped me see that improving as a person is an important goal, but more important than that is serving those around you. I have learned that to be truly successful at most things in life each person must put their own self interest aside and think about the others around them. Because of that, I have tried to dedicate myself to being a person that serves others both on and off the field to the best of my ability.
I have done my best to use the gifts that God has given me to their fullest potential and put forth the maximum effort to improve every chance I get. I try to no longer do this as a means to improve only myself but as a way to improve my team and others around me.
With encouragement from my parents and extended family I have managed to keep working not only on my athletics but on my academics as well. I am starting to see now why my parents and coaches stressed grades so much in the past. It became clear as soon as I began being asked to enter my GPA on these forms relating to college.
It is my sincere hope to find a school that not only allows me to pursue my further education but also allows the continuation of the type of brotherhood I have been blessed with so far in my athletic and academic career.
