My dad introduced me to football at the age of seven and I have loved it ever since. It did not take me long to realize I wanted to play at the collegiate level, so I made this my goal early on. Playing at the collegiate level would be a blessing and a life changing opportunity. I am always working on my craft and trying to be the best student and teammate I can be. I try to lead by example by having a good attitude in the classroom and on the field. I believe that no matter where you are in your career there is always room for improvement and a good work ethic is one of the things that sets me apart from others. I am very coachable and have a humble attitude, win or lose.
I have had a couple obstacles to overcome to get where I am today. A few years ago, my dad was diagnosed with Sarcoma, a rare cancer. Football became increasingly difficult to coordinate and participate in since my dad’s treatment was out of state. Thanks to the help of my grandparents and football family, I never missed a game. My dad is in remission today. Then, in my 8th grade season I suffered from Osgood-Schlatter Disease in my knee and had to forfeit my position at center. But I have overcome this through hard work and made the Varsity team as a Freshman.
Academically, I strive to achieve a 4.0 GPA each term and would like to graduate at the top of my class. Once I get to college I plan on earning an advanced degree. I am open to all options, but my education for my future is my priority, so finding my best college match with the highest level athletic competition is important to me.
