Matthew Miers '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a grounded person in my faith in Christ.  I rely on that faith to help me be a leader on and off the field.  I am an honor student and a committed athlete. My team always knows it can rely on my effort and heart.  My short-term goals include, having a deeper relationship with Christ, remain an honor student, and expand on my roll as a JV starter and earn a starting position on my varsity football team.  My long term goals include becoming a professional athlete, being a positive roll model for kids, and earn my degree, which may lead to a career in anesthesiology if football doesn't become my career path. 

I am focused on putting in the work in the film room, the weight room, the classroom, and practice at full speed.  No one will ever question my drive or work ethic.  I think I have a good football IQ, but I want to learn all I can.  Even though I have played several positions in offense, defense and special teams, I think that makes me a more versatile athlete a team can plug in to fill a need.  I am an asset to my team and would like to be an asset to yours.
