Kyle Lim '17 Recruiting Profile

I've always had aspirations to play football.  Football is my life, and I have a goal to keep playing as long as I possibly can. Not only do I love it as a sport, but I love football for what it can bring out in both me and others. With football I have come to discover who I truly am, and it has shown me what I can achieve as an individual. It keeps me out of trouble and it's what I look forward to each and every day. I will always bring everything that I have onto the table; I will always perform with every last breath of my ability to be the best I can be in what I do because that’s who I am.  At any level or any team, I will always leave it all on the field. I also continually bring a positive attitude and a leadership role both on and off the field. Encouraging others encourages me to keep going in what I do, and knowing I can make a difference in others through my help and direction brings personal joy.  I model myself to try and be someone I myself would look up to, and with the character and personality I have, I know I can be just that.

If I set my mind to it, I know I can achieve it.

My work ethic and drive is second to none, for I have this burning passion inside of me to keep improving no matter what.  That's what makes me different from all the other players.  I push myself to the breaking point to become better every day – better than yesterday, or the day before that.

I give every part of me to the love of the game.  

In school I work just as hard as I work for football.  I am currently getting a 4.0 GPA and I am taking the most possible honors classes that I can.  I push myself to be the best in athletics and in academics.  

Everyone can just say these things just to say them, but the difference between everyone else and I is that I put my money where my mouth is.  If I say something, I go through with it.  I don't just quit.  I put my words into action.  That's what makes me different.  I always work myself to be the best I can be.
