Personal Statement

Football has inspired me since day one when I strapped up the pads for my first game in sixth grade. But High School took my inspiration to a whole new level. My freshman year was a great experience that lead me straight into a successful football program. At the end of the season we ended with a winning record. When the offseason started I pushed myself every day in the weight room and in the classroom. This allowed me to be the best I could have been to stay up, and to be able to start the sophomore season with a bang. Sophomore season really opened my eyes and taught me what it was truly like to have intelligence, sacrifice, patience and hard work. These skills that I learned throughout this season taught me what I needed to be a linebacker that could fit in with the scheme of the defense but stand out and make plays for the stops. In this season I made around 25 tackles, including multiple sacks, tackles for loss and a blocked PAT. At the end of my sophomore season I went up to practice and play with the varsity squad that made it to the semi-finals before a tough loss.

I am looking for a program that will fit me athletically and provide an education that can further help my dreams. I value that having an education and exceling at being a great student, is just as important as being at every practice and working for the next guy over. I believe that I not only have the talent to compete at the next level but I also have the character, work ethic, will to win and leadership to make an impact on your program. I know that I have what it takes to be a vital part of your team.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
