Personal Statement

Hello, My name is Owen Suedkamp. Since I was five I have been interested in the game of football. Ever since the first day I put on a football helmet, football has been a part of my life. There's not a day that goes by that I'm not doing something that has to do with football. To me, there's not a better feeling then stepping on to a football field on game day side by side with my teammates. I have a passion and love for the game and I don't know what my life would be like without football. Football is not just a game in my eyes, it's a way of life.

My goal is to continue improving my football skills at the collegiate level so that I will have an opprotunity at playing professionally. Futhermore, I want to learn valuable information in college to be succesful at the career choice I pursue.

I have the characteristics that are crucial to being a successful academic athlete. I am respectful, responsible, hard working, and a strong leader.

In school, I take every class seriously and make it my goal to do the best I can. I strive to make good grades. On the field and in the weight room, I work hard everyday to make myself better. I never take plays off and I'm constantly finding ways to improve my skills.

I will never be completely satisifed until I reach my goals. I make good decsions and build solid friendships. I take care of my team and always listen to my coaches and teammates.

To conclude I would like to say that football has helped to build me into the the confident, strong, respectful person I am today. Thoughout almost my entire life, I have played football and I am proud to say that it has taught me so many important life lessons. Without football, I believe I would be a very different person. Football is a part of me and I hope to continue to show my passion and love for the game at the collegiate level. Thank you.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
