My name is Grant Gordon and I am a sophomore currently playing football at Benton Consolidated High School in Benton, Illinois. My fourth grade year is when I started playing football and I have known since that time that I wanted to play football on the highest level that I am capable of.
Currently, I am the starting JV quarterback along with the backup Varsity quarterback. As a quarterback I have very accurate throws but I also have the ability to run the ball when needed.
In the offseason I work on improving my speed and agility by playing basketball and hold the position of starting Point Guard on the basketball team. I am currently a team captain in both football and basketball.
Every day I work hard to continually improve physically, mentally and academically so I can be a positive role model and to be a leader on the team. My current focus, on top of playing football, is preparing for the next steps in my career which I hope will be playing on the collegiate level. My preference would be to attend a Division I or Division II college in the Midwest but I would consider all schools that will allow me to reach my academic goals of graduating and having a successful career after my football career is complete.
