Personal Statement

My name is Grant Leichter, and I am currently a Senior at Barrington High School in Illinois.  At my school, I am a member of Broncos Committed. This is the drug and alcohol free program.  Also, I was nominated and I accepted membership into P.A.C.T (Peers All Coming Together), which aims to positively impact school culture and develop leadership skills by means of involvement, team building, participation, and group discussion. I always take pride in making the right decisions. I first became interested in football when I was in the first grade. I was introduced to the sport by my father who is still my number one supporter today. Throughout my career, whether it was in youth or high school,  football has had a major impact on my life. To me, football is a sport that helps you just as much off the field, if not more than on it. I have learned to be a better man, better teammate, and to be held accountable. When my football career is long over with, the lessons I have learned from the game will help carry me for the rest of my life.  Academics are my number one priority and always have been. Currently, I sit at a 4.29 GPA, and I will continue to work hard throughout my senior year.  My ACT composite score is a 29, while my Superscore is a 31. Being able to continue my athletic career at a high quality school, would be a dream come true. Education is the most important thing that I look for. I am a driven person who is accountable, coachable, respectful, and most importantly a hard worker. I learn from my mistakes and the obstacles I endure, and continue to try and be the best I can be everyday.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
