De'vyon Collins '23 Recruiting Profile

I have always loved sports. I actually thought I would become basketball player like my mom, until I touched my first football at the age of five! Once that happened I was hooked on playing football! My talent has always come natural and with ease. But I also understand that my work ethic on and off the field is what will set me apart from everyone else; especially being a disadvantage height wise! But that's ok because it just make me that much hungrier for my future! My life has never been easy being raise by a single mother, but I am motivated. I am not perfect but I do work hard!

As, a youth I was always blessed to a part of a winning team as well as awesome coaches. Once I began my high school career I moved to Michigan to live with my father and now I am back in Florida! No, that I am back and in a more stable environment I am excited to have put my roots down as a "Merritt Island Mustang." After this year I will be entering into my junior year and I am excited to step on the filed and lead by example.  Throughout, my career I have been taught how to maintain a winners mentality, team work, commitment, leadership, focus and dedication. With my dedication and drive, I truly  believe that I have whats' needed to play on the next level!
