Growing up in a family where an understanding of “the big picture” is emphasized, I have always known I would go to college. After I played my first pee-wee football season I knew I wanted to go to college and play football. As a student athlete I understand that I am a student first and an athlete second. My aspirations of playing college football will not be realized if I do not excel at my job in the classroom. I have a responsibility to do my best in the classroom and on the field.
Principals, teachers, coaches and friends became an extended family to me and my family. God has blessed me with opportunities to be a friend and teammate and to rise to positions of achievement and leadership. I have been raised to give a commitment my all. I was taught that “a job worth doing is worth doing well”. My commitment to college will be no different. It is simply the next level of performance.
