Personal Statement

I have been playing football since I was five years old. Growing up, I loved to watch college football and have dreamed of playing in college and maybe even professionally if possible.

I constantly work to become the best student, athlete, and representative of my school and team that I can be. I am trying to become faster, stronger, and to become smarter. I am a leader who can lead by example or be vocal.  I strive for excellence on the field.

Off the field, I am no different, I am in the highest level classes and work hard to maintain a high-Grade Point Average (GPA).  I tutor young boys at my church and help them with their schoolwork as well as teach their Sunday School classes.

I want to attend a college where I can both receive a quality education and play football at a high level.  I plan to major in law, biology, philosophy, or psychology so that I can better understand the world around me.  I would be honored to play in college and hopefully professionally as well.

Thank you for your time, and God bless you!

    -Matthew Brooks

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
