Matt Pain '26 Recruiting Profile

Family is my highest value, yet I chose to move away at the age of 15,  to pursue playing football at the highest level.  I currently play as the starting JV QB for Choate Rosemary Hall, and the back-up for the Varsity Team at Choate.  Both teams went undefeated  in the 2023 season, with our Varsity team ranked #1 in New England.

I’m an athletic and intelligent QB, always looking to improve my game.    I come from a strong athletic family; one sister is a Varsity Swimmer at the University of Cincinnati; the other a Varsity Rower at Queen’s University; my dad a National College Football Champion in Canada and Crossfit competitor; my Mom was on the National Development Ski team.  

I learned to grind and train with mental toughness through my 10 years as an elite swimmer, while developing  leadership and athletic skills as a high level basketball athlete.  

Like Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre, my parents are also Chiropractors.  This has instilled in me the importance of health and self-care to maintain my body and protect my performance.

After family and health, my next highest value is team.  I am willing to do what it takes to be part of a winning team.
