My performance in the classroom while taking all honors classes, my character on campus, and my reputation within the football family differentiate me from my peers. As a freshman, I was chosen as one of the team captains. This year, as a sophomore, I serve on the varsity team's Leadership Council which functions to make decisions and resolve disputes that arise within the football community. These accolades are a testament to my hard work and determination, as well as an indication of the respect I have earned within the football fraternity. Being selected to start as a Defensive Tackle on varsity as a sophomore, as well as being chosen as a recipient of the Clark House Award, which recognizes students for their athletic and academic achievements, are evidence of my stature as a scholar athlete. Additionally, in my spare time I volunteer to coach younger football players. As a coach, I not only bring my skills from the football field to the younger kids, but the skills I learned in the anit-bullying commitee at my school an created by the ADL, in which is made of only 75-100 kids out of over thousands that applied. These attributes and accomplishments form a solid foundation for my candidacy as a collegiate athlete.
