Football means everything to me. Football has been and currently is my entire life. I've been playing and starting since I was 5 years old. I've learned dedication, perseverance, the meaning of hard work and being a productive member of a team through playing football. Most , if not all, of my lifelong friendships have been made on the field. I work very hard to use what I've learned about hard work and commitment on the field in the classroom as well and have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout Junior High school. Hitting the books as hard as I hit on the field is a challenge in itself while being involved in sports. In addition to football, I've been a starting point guard in rec league and travel basketball since the 4th grade. I was the starting point guard for my Junior High school team in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade and we had an undefeated record all 3 years of 53-0. Playing football and being mentored by my parents and coaches has had a tremendous impact on my character and has helped me develop all of the attributes listed above. As long as I can remember, my dream has been to make it to college through my schoolwork and skills on the field.
