My name is Tommy Brown and I just completed my Junior Varsity Football season at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. I've seen my parents work hard to make sure my brothers and I always receive the best. My mother is a physical therapist that works with stroke and brain injuries. My father is a teacher/coach and is in his thirty fourth year of teaching. My goal in college is to major in Business.
I am 6’7 and weigh 315 lbs. yet I have good feet for my size. My position is offensive tackle and this past season I played Left Tackle. I did not start playing football until my freshmen year of high school because I was too heavy for youth football, but I truly love playing football. I am a good candidate for your team because I can contribute to offensive line with my quickness, strength and size.
In the spring of my freshmen year, I play and started for our Varsity Lacrosse on attack and feel lacrosse has really helped me to develop my feet. I varsity lettered my freshmen year in lacrosse and track & field (shot put/discus). I did not play lacrosse my sophomore but continued to throw the shot put and discus. My motivation for the shot put is that my father is the current shot put record holder at Mater Dei and my goal is to break his 38 year old record before I graduate. This coming spring I'm going to focus most of my time in the weight room, weekend camps with Men in the Trenches (Jesse Sapuola) and improving my craft.
In my spare time I love to umpire at the local little league and watch hang out with friends and family.
Academically, I have a 3.75 GPA. I have not taken either the ACT or SAT but I'm scheduled for the SAT on January 21st.
