James Ghilardi JR '17 Recruiting Profile

I'm a student-athlete from Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento California who dreams of playing the sport I love at the next level. All my life I have been surrounded by football. I was raised in a family of coaches and players alike, who showed me the love and passion this sport has to bring. At a young age I instantly got hooked and couldn't wait for the day where I could step on the field and prove myself as a player. The more and more I got on the field, the more and more I never wanted to leave. I grew to love the sport even more and realized that its where I belong. I promised myself that I would do everything I can to keep playing and see just how far I can take it, but I know that football isn't the only way. To me the classroom is just as important, so I work hard everyday to maintain a high GPA so that I can better my chances at obtaining a great college education, and to me, that's what it's all about. Being able to use my skill on and off the field in hopes of going to a school where I belong and one that will prepare me for what's ahead; and hey why not play the sport I love to get me there.
