Hi Coach,
I am humbled and extremely grateful for the opportunity to discuss the possibility of representing your great program as a quarterback. I will be totally focused on the success of the team and I look to encourage and lift up the players around me as their leader. I will lead by example and my example will be the F.E.E. I am willing to pay every single day in workouts, in practice, and in games. That F.E.E. is Faith, Effort, and Execution. I currently have a 4.0 GPA at Horizon Prep Christian School. Academics are very important to me because I know that without solid grades I have fewer opportunities in life. I love my family and they are extremely important to me. My parents love me a lot and have always supported my dream of playing quarterback in college. My dad is a high school head football coach and I have grown up around football all my life from being the ball boy too playing quarterback and understand the operation of the team as a unit. I am passionate about playing at the next level and beyond. My dream is to play quarterback in the NFL and I believe I will.
God has blessed me with athletic gifts; 5.0 (40 yd dash time), I can throw the ball 50+ yards hitting my receiver in stride, and am very accurate with all routes in the passing tree. I am a versatile athlete who can escape fast pass rushers and run the ball successfully if the option is called. I am very familiar with pro-style, spread, and option type offenses and I have been known to memorize an entire playbook over a weekend. Those are great gifts, but the greatest gift of all is faith (belief). I will sacrifice everything for the team on every single play because I believe we will win. My will to win is unmatched and I am a fierce competitor. I hate losing and I also know it's not the end of the world as I have a "next game" mentality win or lose, but I expect to win each game I play in. Winning and losing games does not define me. My faith in God, my love for my family, and my commitment to my craft and the team does.
I have had private quarterback training with George Whitfield Jr. since I was 9 and now train with Danny Mitchell who learned from Tim Martinez (Tom Brady's QB coach). Football is a great metaphor for life as it has taught me to fight when the odds are against me, to never give up, and to trust God, believe in myself, believe in my coaches, and believe in my teammates no matter what the circumstances are. I know it takes the entire team to operate in unison to succeed. It's not all about me, but I prepare intensely to do my job since others are relying on me and it's really about the team which I consider my family, too.
Thank you,
Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi
