I am currently a Junior in High School and play Offensive Left Tackle for Aliso Niguel High School in Aliso Viejo, CA.
I am currently 6’5” tall and weigh 285 pounds. My goal was to reach at least 280 pounds before the start of my Senior year. I played my Junior year at 6'-3" 245 lbs. I am working with Velocity Sports for off season weight and fitness training to increase my size, strength, footwork and quickness. I am also attending the RedZone Elite Clinic (http://www.redzoneelite.com/) twice a week working with Ex-NFL Lineman Lance Scott on technique.
As a Freshman I was named lineman of the year for my freshman team. As a Sophomore I was awarded the same designation for my JV team and also earned a Varsity Letter. As a Junior I was the starting offensive left tackle and was again named lineman of the year and also awarded 1st team All League offensive left tackle. This season I was named offensive player of the game twice and only allowed two sacks the entire season.
I was born July 5, 1999 which means I will not turn 18 until after I graduate. Being young for my grade, I have always competed against players who were older, bigger and more physically mature than me. This made me work harder and play harder in order to compete and I have excelled and outperformed my competition. I work hard on the field and off the field during strength and fitness training and in the classroom. My coaching staff would describe me as a team leader, hard worker, very coachable and a player who is smart and has a very high football IQ. My coaches have told me that I will be one of three team captains next season and they would be happy to talk to you my achievements:
Kurt Westling, Varsity Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator
Dave Brown, Offensive Line Coach
Academically, I currently have a 3.8 GPA and am enrolled in three AP courses. I am also participating in the National Student Leadership Conference at UCLA this Summer.
