David "JD" Johnson '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6’4 190lbs Quarterback at Pinnacle high school in Phoenix, AZ (6A-3000 students).  I was chosen to serve as a team captain the past two seasons. I was the only freshman who dressed for every Varsity game, and this season I will be the starting QB on the JV team.  I am the #2 QB for Varsity, behind University of Oklahoma QB commit Spencer Rattler (Jr.).

 I have been around football my entire life, my father has been a college coach for over 20 years. I have a strong desire to play at the college level and earn a university degree in business.  I am on the honor roll with a GPA of 3.75, and I am a favorite amongst my teachers who consider me a class leader.  In addition to my academic achievements, I am a two-sport athlete. I am the starting power forward on the basketball team.  I am active in my church youth group, and I love to fish and golf.

I want you to know that I am a tenacious worker, I love being in the weight room, taking on leadership roles, studying film, putting in extra work that is required to achieve my goals.  I am currently working with two reputable private quarterback coaches to ensure that I reach my maximum potential.
