Carrie Nyce '13 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Carrie Nyce. I am a junior at Upper Perkiomen High School and I am very excited to play field hockey in college. I have started on varsity since I was a freshman and this year I was chosen as captain. I believe I was chosen as captain because I am very positive on the field and I lead by example because I always work hard. I also feel that I am a good leader because my teammates look to me for advice and to always motivate them to work hard on the field at practice and during games. As a freshman and sophomore I played back and this year I am playing low center midfield. This year I am taking shots on corners and also flying on defensive corners. I believe my strength on the field is stepping to the ball and making strong passes up the field. I live in Pennsylvania and I would like to go to college in Pennsylvania or in a surrounding state. At this point it does not matter to me the size of the school, I am just hoping for a good fit in athletics as well as in academics. My hope for college is to play as a freshman and to be an important part of a team because I think I have a lot to offer to a team both as an athlete and a teammate.
