Kayla Desormeau '21 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goal is to graduate with a degree in education/teaching while continuing to play field hockey which is the sport I love.  One of my favorite quotes is from Herb Brooks who once said "risk something or forever live in your dreams".  While I dream of playing field hockey at the collegiate level I know that the only way to achieve that goal is to work hard, challenge myself constantly, and trust and believe in my coaches and team mates.  As a goalie, I understand that there is always pressure on me to perform as the last line of defense.  However when you love the position and the sport, you are always willing to put the work in not only for yourself but more importantly for the team around you.  Whether it is sports or academics, I push myself to achieve what I know that I am capable of doing.
