Personal Statement

I am a dedicated and passionate person, who strives to do my best to contribute to my team and individual performance on a daily basis.  I am teachable and willing to learn any new ways to improve my skills.  I am all about being a active member and supportive member of a team.  I give 100% at every practice and game and I am always willing to help other players in need.  I volunteered to help my coach out this summer, by working with her camp athletes and it was not only rewarding but so much fun.  I want to play in college for a team who is looking for a goalie that has passion, spirit, determination and a willingness to do what ever it takes to help my team be successful.  I look forward to working with a coach who will be my mentor and role model all throughout my college career.

Academics are very important to me and I want a school that is strong not only on the Field Hockey field, but also in the classroom.  I have big goals ahead of me and I am looking for a team and school that matches criterion of excellence as well. I want to pursue a career in Nursing, and possibly go on for my graduate degree to become a Nurse  Anesthetist.

I want to be a leader on and off the field!  I am currently on Link Crew, which is a leadership team at our high school that mentors incoming freshmen.  This has given me so many wonderful opportunities to work with students from all different backgrounds.  I am also very involved in the music department at Williamsville South High School.  I have been an part of the school musical every year and plan to do this until I graduate.  I am in select vocal groups, Swing Choir, Concert Choir and Choraleers and have traveled to Disney to perform.  I just took up playing Cello and I am enjoying the challenge and playing in our school Orchestra.   I am a very well rounded student and person, who loves people, learning and challenges.  Playing Field Hockey at college is a goal that I am looking forward to achieving.
