Field Hockey has been an inspiration to my High School career and helped me grow as a person. I have played field hockey since 7th grade. I started when i went to Queensbury High school and i fell in love with the game. I started as defense and by 9th grade became the MVP (defense) on my JV team. I was known for "coming out of no where".My junior year i moved to Hudson Falls High School and played as a mid fielder. It is a small town that is not known for their athletic ability. My new team had to fight to even stay a school sport. With not enough girls and girls that have never played before, we played as hard as we could. Going from a team that never lost to a team that played down a player almost every game changed my out look on school sports but it never once changed my love for field hockey. When i go out on the field nothing else matters and the adrenaline of the game takes over. I will play my hardest no matter what happens. When you are down a player there are no breaks or getting hurt. As the captain of my team I have had to play two positions at once for many games, but even with all that pressure I would not give up a moment of my field hockey experience. Leading my team made me appreciate my sport even more.
