As a sophomore in high school, I have yet to reach many of my goals I have set for myself. Starting on the varsity field hockey team both freshman and sophomore year was a major step for me in my career, but also just the beginning. I aspire to continue my field hockey career through college, and possibly even further.
As much as the sport means to me, my education is just as important. Although I am only a sophomore, I do want to balance my focuses athletically speaking, and academically. Just as I try my best at practice or in games, I make sure to challenge myself in school by taking higher level courses and being involved.
I am willing to put in hard work to advance my play, and excel both in field hockey and school. Not only will I do this to increase my chances of playing at the collegiate level, but also for myself and for all the people in my life who are helping me reach my goal.
