I began playing field hockey in 8th grade, just for fun but within the first practice I knew it was something I wanted to continue and become serious with. I immediately fell in love with the sport. My second year of playing I tried out for my high school team and made the JV team. I was a starter and played the entire game, rarely being subbed. That same year I began playing club field hockey for my local club H2O. This was my first time playing indoor. I was placed on the Silver (C) team. I love the sport and hope to continue my career beyond high school.
My goals and aspirations in college are to compete at the highest level or the most appropriate level suited for me in Field Hockey, complete a degree in Biology, and have a good college experience. I am a good candidate for a college team because I am very committed to my sport and I am passionate about it. I could be considered different from other recruits because I use leadership skills to guide my team and I am always dedicated and work toward the goals that I set for myself. Academically, I work extremely hard to meet the requirements and study to keep my GPA as high as I can. Last quarter, I achieved a 4.35 GPA and I hope to maintain that moving forward. I work hard to balance my athletic and academic life while still achieving the most I can from both aspects of my life
