I started playing field hockey in sixth grade as a player and in eighth grade, I tried goalkeeping. I fell in love with it immediately and I continued to pursue it. That same year I began playing club and realized how much time and effort needed to be put in to the position to be the best I can be. I learned how the position was both mental and physical. To be a good goalkeeper takes dedication, discipline, and determination. I always try to play my best no matter who I'm playing for or where I'm playing. I take any sort of feedback to heart and I am always looking to get better. My academics always comes first for me. I am a perfectionist in everything I do as well as driven and focused. I am also very coachable and pick up easily when it comes to most things. Although winning is important, it is not the most important aspect in field hockey to me because I really try to learn from every game no matter the outcome. I really embrace newcomers and it's really important to me that when I'm on a team, we win and lose as one team; I like to view my team as my second family. I want to be able to bring my enthusiasm as well as love for the game to a collegiate level.
