Hi, my name is Taylor Borchers. I started playing baseball in California at 6 years old. I knew I wanted to play college baseball the moment I set foot on the field for the first time. My second year playing baseball I was selected out of 200 kids in my age group for the all-star team. I had so much fun and had such a huge sense of accomplishment I knew I had to work hard to make all-stars every year thereafter. Since then I've strived to be the best I can be in the game and have achieved the goals I have set for myself. My most recent accomplishment took place after a move across the country to the Midwest. In the spring of 2013 I was the only freshman at my high school to make Junior Varsity and I played almost every inning, of every game. Now I am working hard to make that next jump to Varsity by working out daily either on the field or in the gym. In addition I've set a goal to play college baseball so that I can continue to play the game I love and also to get the best education possible.
Update March 2014: Found out yesterday that I made Varsity for 2014!!!! I am the only sophomore that made the team at Appleton North. I feel grateful and excited that I have this opportunity and I'm looking forward to a great season.
Update July 2014: Honored to have made FVA All-Conference 2nd Team my first year on Varsity!
