Landon Martino '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Landon Martino, I am am a 6'1", 170lb catcher at Kings Fork High School in Suffolk, Virginia where I've lived all my life.  I will be graduating from Kings Fork High school in 2020.  I have been the starting catcher for the past two seasons for the JV team and I was also appointed team captain for my club team, Old Dominion Hitters.  During my past season at Kings fork I complied a .362 batting average while throwing out 18 runners attempting to steal bases.  I know as many others do that one day is gonna be my last day ever to step in between the lines but I want to be able to play as long as I can.  My number one aspiration is playing baseball in college, and getting a great education while i'm there is the icing on the cake.  I have not yet ruled any playing opportunity out for myself as it is still early in my decision process.  I am truly looking for the best fit both athletically and academically that I can find because I do really love the game.  If I get a chance to play at the next level my main goal would to be the best player I can be and make as big of an impact on the team as I possibly can.
