I started playing baseball when I was about three years old and fell in love as soon as I put on my first glove. Over the years I have practiced diligently and have taken active steps to improve my game from enrolling in skills camps, practicing at every opportunity, playing on higher skill teams and using constructive feedback from coaches to refine my skills. I have known from an early age that I wanted to play at a much higher level. In my collegiate career I hope to excel in the field of biotechnology and get as close to a 4.0 as possible. In my athletic career I hope to be a great baseball player and a great teammate as well. I am committed to doing what is necessary to improve myself at every opportunity. Whether it be in my studies or on the field I strive to give 100% effort in my endeavors. In academics I put forth the necessary effort to get the highest grades and take ownership of my learning and success. I am a natural leader in the classroom and on the baseball field. On group assignments I organize and coordinate teammates to ensure that work is completed competently, with high standards and integrity. On the ball field I support and rally my teammates for instance, if it's the bottom of the ninth and we are down by 4, I encourage my team to keep their heads, stay in the game and remain positive. I set an example for being a gracious loser and humble winner.
