Luke Rounds '20 Recruiting Profile

Baseball is more than just a game. I feel it has taught me a lot about myself as a person. I have found that when the pressure is on, that is when I excel. When bases are loaded with no outs, I want to be the pitcher they bring in. Many times I have been and many times I overcame the potential pressure and pitched our team out of the inning. My high school is a new school and we are building our program. This first year was tough as a team. I learned that I am a leader and someone that can be counted on to boost moral even when everyone is getting frustrated.

Currently I am personally working on a weight gaining and velocity building program. In a short period I have already increased my pitching velocity by 5-7 MPH and look forward to where I will be in another 6 months. In addition to baseball I am a Life scout and expect to have my Eagle very soon. I am also active in our Little League’s Challenger program, a program that works with kids/adults with disabilities on the baseball field.  My life as a military brat has given me a strong love of country because of that I am interested in giving back by getting a Computer degree possibly with a concentration in Cyber Security.
