William Hesslink '16 Recruiting Profile

Baseball has always been my favorite sport growing up as a kid. I have had aspirations of playing collegiate baseball ever since little league and I would love the opportunity to reach my goal. I very much enjoy the team aspect of baseball both on and off of the field. Even being the youngest player on my varsity team, I am one of the leaders on my team. I lead by my composure, work ethic, and focus on baseball objectives. This is comforting to my teammates and contributes to success. Additionally, I am encouraging and supportive of my teammates, which helps them reach their potential. Some of my biggest strengths are I listen well, I'm eager to learn, and my coaches consistently tell me I am very coachable. I also help out with the Little League in my hometown and like to help young ball players both have fun and learn more about the game. I am looking for a school that will be challenging and rewarding for me both academically and athletically. 

This fall and winter I am working with a personal trainer to improve my strength, and I will continue to work with my pitching and hitting coach throughout the fall and winter.
