Personal Statement

My name is Hunter Balmer and I am a 2010 graduate from Box Elder High School in Brigham City, Utah. I just finished my sophomore year at Dawson Community College in Glendive, MT, which is in a wood bat conference. I was a team captain my freshman and sophomore year and I was named to the 2012 and 2011 Mon~Dak All-Conference Team. I was selected by opposing coaches as the 2012 Mon~Dak Conference Player of the Year.  I was named to the All-Region 9 team and All-American 2nd Team. I am currently ranked 14th for hitting in NJCAA.   I was on the Dean's List and earned a spot on the Mon~Dak Academic Team both years with a cumulative GPA of 3.63.  I was also elected to freshman senate in ASB student government.  In high school I was an honor roll student graduating with a 3.42 gpa. I had an amazing experience senior year. I was awarded my team's MVP, RBI Leader, and Hitting Title. I was also named All-Region, All-Area, and All-State. I was selected to represent the 4A North in the Senior All-Stars where I was named MVP. I wanted to start college at the JUCO level so I could play right away, get bigger, stronger, and get ready to play in a four year program. I want to attend a college where I can get a great education and contribute on the field. I am excited to find the right school, coach and program where I can make my goals a reality.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
