Cade Cassady '23 Recruiting Profile

My love for baseball began 7 years ago when my dad forced me to go to a Rangers game, ever since I've never been more grateful.  In my 3rd year of paying ball, I was met with my biggest obstacle so far. I fractured my spine at the end of the spring season. I was supposed to be out for 8 months, but with non-stop rehab and prayer, I was back on the field for the Fall season the same year. The experience really helped me grow as a player and a young man. It showed me to never take anything for granted and to put forth effort unbeknownst to the average athlete because I'm blessed to be where I am in baseball, I need to take advantage of what I can do.

 Throughout high-school and college, I plan to keep a steady 3.5-4.0 GPA. I'm not quite sure about what I want to do with my life, but I'm using high-school to try things out. Throughout baseball, I've learned about myself, what kind of person I am, and what my purpose is. Throughout the hard work and lessons I've picked up a quality of self discipline, this helps me hold myself accountable for myself on and off the field so nobody else has to.
