Personal Statement

I am AJ Mendolia.  I would describe myself as a hard-working, student-athlete who strives to fulfill my dreams, both academically and athletically.  I realize that it becomes harder and harder at each level athletically, and eventually, at whatever level I stop competing, I will need to rely upon my education to move forward in life.

I pride myself on being respectful and helpful to others.  I strive to be a great person inside and outside of the classroom as I believe if you do not respect and help others, you will not succeed.  I am very devout in my faith and try to bring God into my life when and wherever I can.   I enjoy being challenged.  I understand that failure is simply part of life, and dealing with adversity can make you stronger.

I have set extremely high goals for myself as I wish to attend a highly ranked academic institution that also has a top level baseball program  which I can participate.    I am extremely interested in continuing my baseball career to the highest level, but realizing that baseball ends at some point for everyone, I intend on pursing a career in the medical field.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
